Hello Friends -

1.   I feel like I have sooooo much to tell you.
2.   I only have so many minutes left on the battery of my laptop.
3.   This begins my fast-typing marathon!

4.   (When, really, this should be #1): THANK YOU to those of you who used our promo code and came to hear Mark Lowry! Such a great night!

5.   Eternal Praise has been practicing and practicing and practicing. (Hopefully you'll be able to notice - ha!). Why are we practicing so much, you might ask? Well, it's because we are making plans to record a new CD - and that means new music - and that means hours of practicing!

6.   YEA for a new CD!!!!

7.   Recording will take place in early March - the finished product should be available around the end of April.

8.   Just in time for Mother's Day gifts (= shameless plug!)

9.   In the meantime, we're also busy with concerts! Here's the info in case you want to come and say HI!

10. This Saturday night, February 11th, Eternal Praise will be singing in the MotherLode Gospel Jubilee, Angels Camp, CA at 5:00pm. The MotherLode Gospel Jubilee will feature the Herb Henry Family, Eternal Praise, A New Day, and Julie Eichelberger.

It will be held at the Bret Harte High School Auditorium in Angels Camp, CA. 325 N Main Street - near the intersection of Highway 4.
Tickets are $10 per person and children under 15 are free.

Hopefully by now you've read Allison's fabulously fun email and have marked your calendar for the Mark Lowry concert at the Gallo Center for the Arts on January 18, 2012 at 7PM!

A few years ago I got to go hear Mark Lowry's solo concert in Turlock and it was such a great night! Mark blend's his zany comedy with poignant moments that will encourage your faith and make you laugh out loud! He'll be accompanied by Stan Whitmire, one of the smoothest pianists I've ever heard!

Weekend Concerts

Good Morning! I'm hunkered down on this gray morning, resisting the fact that I have to get up and go to work! Anyone else just want to curl up and hide for the day? : )

The weekend is coming...and we have fun plans - anyone need something to do???

Hello friends! Happy Monday!

How many of you are ready for autumn? I absolutely adore summer, but even I am ready for pumpkins, sweaters, and crisp smelling air! We are just starting almond harvest, and it's a good reminder that the season is coming soon! I'll be tearing out my summer flowers soon and planting some snap dragons and mums. And I might just decorate my house for fall this afternoon, even though it's still hot outside!

Booth Brothers concert tonight!

Popcicles, ice cream, swimming pools, slip-n-slides, fans, air-conditioning�I hope you�ve found a way to stay cool in this heat!

First, let me say a big thanks to all of you that came to Songfest last weekend! It was such a fun night! Wesley Pritchard sang along with his friends, Jason Dennis and Lauren Izzell from North Carolina. They did a wonderful job! During the second half, Eternal Praise joined them for a Gaither-style sing-along. It was a blast! The weather was perfect and seeing so many friends there just made our day! We hope that you all enjoyed the evening as much as we did!

If you are looking for something fun to do TONIGHT, come hear the Booth Brothers in concert! They are going to be singing at Quail Lakes Baptist Church (1904 Quail Lakes Dr, Stockton, CA) tonight at 7:30PM. Tickets are $18 at the door. This is seriously one of my favorite concerts ever! Come out and experience it for yourselves!

What is it about Friday nights that makes us all look forward to them? The end of a work week? The beginning of the weekend? It just seems like everything is better on Fridays, hence the term "TGIF"!!!

A Rainy Evening

Hello Friends!

It is quite the rainy evening here in Modesto, CA! Where exactly did THIS come from!??! It's the middle of May!! I've talked to God quite a bit about how I'd rather have sunshine, but apparently He sees fit to send some moisture to our part of the country. Glad He knows best! : )
I'm currently curled up in my chair enjoying it! Dinner is in the oven - I found a new recipe called Baked Potato Nachos that is seriously good! - and I'm kind of hunkering down until Thursday when the forecast calls for something above 62 degrees!

We're all looking forward to this Sunday, May 22! Eternal Praise will be singing at the Oak Avenue Free Methodist Church in Orangevale, CA. Pastor Andy Webb and all the members there have become such dear friends of ours! It is always such a joy to be with them on Friends Day - we'd love to see you there, too! Good Afternoon, Friends! Happy Monday!! (This is me being over-enthusiastic, trying to convince myself that Monday is a good thing)!!!

We had such a wonderful time this past weekend at FanFest! We look forward to it all year, and are now having a hard time believing that it's over! Not only did I love the concerts and the friends and the showcases, but I also discovered the Tulare Outlets and the Hobby Lobby!! Yes, shopping is a weakness....!

One of my favorite moments was the Christmas Celebration! Yes, you read that correctly! On Friday night, they devoted the last hour to Christmas music, where each group came out and did one of their Christmas songs. The stage was decorated with hundreds of twinkle lights...so beautiful! My favorite song was Jeff and Sheri Easter's "The Greatest Gift of All" - I LOVE that song!!

It truly was a wonderful weekend! If you missed it, you can start making plans for next year! FanFest April 26-28, 2012!!

Now that FanFest is over, don't think that there will be a shortage of music events to attend! There are plenty! Here are just a few!

He is the senior pastor at the Fayetteville Community Church. He also was the producer of Eternal Praise's two latest CD's!

Please bring your own chairs and jackets, as this concert will be outdoors.

Due to limited parking, we ask that you car-pool as much as possible!!

Fan Fest 2011

Hello Friends!

We are at the Great Western Southern Gospel Fan Festival and having the time of our lives! This is one of our favorite weekends of the year and if you've never experienced it for yourself, you should definitely make plans to come next year!!!

On the way to Visalia, we made our yearly stop for lunch at Jantz's cafe in Atwater. Delicious Mennonite cooking! We always buy extra cookies, pies, and pastries to bring with us for the weekend!

We've so enjoyed the concerts and showcases every day. Some of the great groups that are here this year include Greater Vision, The Hoppers, Triumphant Quartet, The Couriers, Liberty, The Herb Henry Family, Gold City, Legacy Five, and many more! This afternoon there will be a showcase where many of the artists will share their funny stories from living on the road. Then Dr. Charles Stanley will be speaking in an afternoon session.

It has also been wonderful to visit with many of our friends that stop by the booth to chat. Allison and I have especially enjoyed seeing three sisters, Linda, Mary, and Jackie. They are delightful ladies. One comes from Florida, one from Tennessee, and one from California, and they all meet up here at Fan Fest. There is just something fun about experiencing this great event with sisters!

This Sunday, May 1st, Eternal Praise will be singing at the morning service for Visalia Faith Baptist Church. The church is located at 3833 W Walnut in Visalia. The service will begin at 10:50AM and you are welcome to join us there!

As I sit here on a cold, rainy, dismal day, I find myself wondering if I will ever see the sun or be warm again. Then I remember how hot I was just a few short months ago. Isn�t it amazing how quickly our current circumstances blot out the realities that we know to be true? I think the psalmist David experienced the same emotional roller coaster. Some psalms find him vibrant and exuberant and others full of doom and gloom. While life may have a way of dictating our emotions, it can never change the facts. The faithfulness of our God in all areas of our life should be of great encouragement to us. He will never leave us or forsake us. He will give us rest. He will provide for us. He is our shield and defender. He restores our souls. He knows our needs. He gives good gifts to those who ask. He knows our name. He is our all in all. He is able to do exceeding, abundant, above, all we could ask for or think of. Funny, I think I just saw the sun!

I love this time of year! I love the blossoms, the crisp mornings and the warm afternoons. I love the promises of spring everywhere I look...the yellow daffodils waving their showy heads, the honey bees swarming around their hives, the air that is drenched with the sweet smell coming from our orchards.

There is beauty all around, and I hope that you are taking time to notice it and see the mighty hand of our Creator in the world around us.

Hello Friends!

As I type this, it is currently 7:43pm, and dinner still has 45 minutes to go. The day I learn to plan how long things will take is the day that pigs fly!! I am making Beef Stew, which we will sincerely enjoy right before we go to bed - ha! Any advice from you ladies who have been-there-done-that will be much appreciated!

So...while I'm waiting for that beef to get tender...I thought I'd sit down and write to you!

On Sunday morning (January 30), Eternal Praise will be singing at Lake Tulloch Bible Church in Copperopolis, CA. We have grown to love these people and Pastor Ted! The service starts at 9:30am, and all are welcome to attend. Come on up to the hills and join us! The church is located at 3566 Spangler Lane #3, Copperopolis, CA 95228.

Then on Sunday afternoon, we will be driving to Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA to attend the Gaither Concert! We're all pretty excited to hear/see some of our heroes! The concert starts at 3:00pm. You're welcome to come - I think tickets are available on ticketmaster or at the door.

Traffic is crazy, lines are long, and people are rushing from here to there, but with all the busyness that surrounds Christmas, there is also an excitement that comes with secrets, a joy that comes with family traditions, and most of all, a peace that comes from knowing the God that we celebrate.

Hello Friends! I hope this finds you well as we count down the days to Thanksgiving!

I wanted to let you know of some upcoming concerts.

This Sunday, we'll be in Ione, CA for the day. I have to leave my house at 6:15INTHEMORNING, so please pray that Allison is in a good mood and doesn't grouch at her family all day!

In the morning, we'll be singing at the Cornerstone Church (116 S Church Street). Their service times are 9:00am and 10:30am. Come and join us as we lift up HIS name!

Then in the afternoon, we'll head on over to the Preston Correctional Facility. Please keep us in prayer as we share the love of Christ with the wards there. Also, continue to pray for Pastor David Skaggs as he works with these men!

So this Sunday.....another big day of singing!

On Sunday morning, October 17, we'll be joining the choir at Big Valley Grace Community Church for their 8:45am service. This is always such a great time for us! The choir and orchestra is amazing, and we love the leadership of Scott Butler. Come and join us as we worship our Maker and Creator!

Then on Sunday evening, October 17, we'll be singing at the First Baptist Church in Escalon, CA at 6:00pm. This church has some of the dearest people you'll ever meet! We are blessed every time we get to be with them! Come on out to 1511 Catherine Way in Escalon and meet them for yourself!

October Dates

Happy Autumn!!

Even though it has been scorching hot this week, I can't help but know that Fall is right around the corner! I decorated our house with pumpkins and wheat and candles and gourds and Indian Candy Corn (of course!!), and am now looking forward to the cooler weather.

Summer is technically my very favorite season, but there is so much joy to be found in all four. Fall means shorter days and soup and crisp air and leaves on the ground and harvest and Thanksgiving!

What are you looking forward to the most in the upcoming Autumn Season? Write me back and let me know!

This Sunday, October 3rd, we have a busy day of singing!

In the morning, we'll be at Church of the Cross on Dale Road in Modesto. We'll be taking their morning service, and would love to have you join us! The service starts at 10:00am, and the church is located at 3936 Dale Road, Modesto, CA.

In the evening, we'll be singing at a Concert and Hymn Sing at Atwater Baptist Church. The service begins at 6:00pm, and everyone is welcome! The church is located at 2124 1st Street in Atwater, CA. Come on out and sing along!

Please keep Tony Greene's family in your thoughts and prayers. Tony passed away this week, and leaves behind his wife TaRanda, and two little girls, Isabella and Josie. The Southern Gospel world lost a great singer and a great man, but Heaven gained this great saint!

Good evening, Friends!

The end of August is here...where has the time gone? September and fall leaves and harvest and oranges and reds and browns....crisp cool air and Thanksgiving....Fall is coming!

Our family celebrated the end of August with a Camping Trip in the Sierra Mountains. We took horses and warm clothes and our little dog, Jack. We would have frozen, except that my mom is a champion fire-builder and kept a roaring blaze all weekend! : ) Her specialty includes dry pinecones and huge welcoming logs!

What about you? How are you celebrating the end of summer? Family vacations? Outdoor barbeques? Tell me a good story from these last few weeks!

An amazing concert that YOU should attend:

The well-known Contemporary Christian group, Selah, will be in Modesto on Friday, September 10th! The concert is to benefit Bethany Christian Services. It will be held at Modesto Covenant Church at 913 Floyd Avenue. Doors open at 5:30pm and the concert starts at 7:00pm. Tickets are $15 per person. An upcoming concert for you:

On Friday, July 16, at 7:00pm, the Herb Henry Family and Eternal Praise will be in concert at Bethel Church (2361 Scenic Drive in Modesto) to benefit Sierra Salem Christian Homes.

This wonderful organization is celebrating its twentieth year of providing quality, Christ-centered residential care and support to individuals with a developmental disability in Modesto. Sierra Salem is working to open a new home especially for persons with a disability who are over the age of 60.

Admission will be $5 at the door with an offering to be received during the concert.

Couriers Concert

Dear Eternal Praise Friends -

We are so excited for the weekend! Not just because it's the weekend and we are off work, but because we have a special evening planned for Saturday night! And we think you should join us for this special evening!!

Many years ago, a group called The Couriers traveled here on the West Coast, singing and making friends along the way. Well....they're back! Eternal Praise is excited to host the Original Couriers, Dave, Duane, and Neil, in concert this Saturday night, June 19. It is sure to be a wonderful experience, and you won't want to miss it! Eternal Praise and Chosen Vision will also be singing. Come on out to the First Baptist Church in Turlock, CA (290 W. Olive Street) at 7:00pm, and spend a few hours enjoying the ministry of The Couriers!

A Trio of Trios

Hello!

I'm excited to tell you that we have three great trios coming to CA this month!

First, this Sunday, June 13th at 5:00pm, Phil Cross and Crossing will be in Fair Oaks (near Sacramento) at the New Life Community Church (8101 Sunset Ave, Fair Oaks, CA). Crossing is made up of Phil Cross and his wife, Rebekah Cross, and their friend, Sheri Thrower.

On Saturday, June 19th, the original Couriers will be singing at First Baptist Church in Turlock (290 W Olive Street) at 7:00pm. Eternal Praise will also be singing! No ticket is needed - An offering will be taken for their ministry. Dave, Duane and Neil are men of integrity and have influenced many of today's gospel singers.

Finishing out this great round of concerts, the Booth Brothers will bring their Declaration Tour to Quail Lakes Baptist Church in Stockton, CA, on Thursday, June 24th at 7:00pm. Tickets are $16 and are available from Eternal Praise or at www.itickets.com. There are also group rates available by calling 800-965-9324.
