Fan Fest This Weekend

Hey everyone - Happy Monday!  : )

This day is like the calm before the storm - because FAN FEST is this weekend!!!! (May 1-3, 2008)  So tomorrow night, we have singing practice, where we will attempt to put all our finishing touches on our songs (AND watch American Idol in the middle of it?!?!?!?!?!?) - and then we head down to Fresno on Thursday. 

For those of you who don't know, Fan Fest is an amazing weekend of gospel music.  It's held at the Bulldogs Stadium at Fresno State.  Here's a rundown of the schedule:

Thursday night starts the concert off with groups like the Booth Brothers, RSV, the Hoppers, Legacy Five, and many more!  After the concert, there is a Pizza Panic for everyone to enjoy.

Friday morning will find Gary and Kristen on the golf course, while Mom, Dorothy, and I find our way to the nearest MALL!! 
At the Stadium, Connie Hopper will hold a morning devotion at 11:30, then the Best of the West showcase, then a Comedy Show, and followed up with a sing-a-long with Gerald Wolfe (Greater Vision).  The evening concert will feature groups like Poet Voices, Dixie Melody Boys, the Pfeifers, and others.  After the concert will be an Ice Cream Social.

Saturday morning, we'll all be a bundle of nerves as we go to our sound check!  : )  The morning starts with a devotion with John Pfeifer, then Best of the West (Eternal Praise sings!!), and a showcase with Phil Cross called "They Write The Songs".  The evening concert will feature groups like the Hoppers, Beene Family, Greater Vision, Liberty, Herb Henry Family, and so many more!

Sunday morning will find me SLEEPING IN!!!  We always stay up waaaaaay too late, so I'm sure I'll need a little extra zzzzzzz's!  : )
